chocolate fudge brownies

one of my favourite treats is a gooey brownie. if you enjoy brownies too, you should give this recipe a try!

INGREDIENTS

  • 100g milk chocolate
  • 100g butter
  • 200g self raising flour
  • 200g sugar (preferably brown sugar)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tbs cocoa powder
  •  a handful of hazelnuts (optional)

METHOD

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together in a sauce-pan over a low heat (or in microwave intervals)
  3. Turn off the heat and gradually stir in the sugar and eggs
  4. Add the self raising flour and cocoa powder and mix until combined
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased square tin
  6. Bake for 15 mins
  7. Take your brownies out of the oven and check them (brownies might take longer to bake, remember to check by using the skewer method) the middle should be soft and gooey. let the brownies cool in the tin.
