malteser tiffin
I love tiffin! I also love Maltesers so I tried them together and it was amazing, you should try it!
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE BASE
- 200g milk chocolate
- 100g unsalted butter
- 2 tbs golden syrup
- 125g digestive biscuits
- 135g bag of Maltesers
- a handful of raisins (optional)
FOR THE TOPPING
- 200g milk chocolate
- 25g unsalted butter
- 1 tbs golden syrup
METHOD
- Line a square baking tray.
- Put the 200g of chocolate, butter and syrup in a bowl and melt.
- Once almost melted, gently stir until all chocolate has completely melted. let cool a little.
- Place the biscuits and 35g of the Maltesers into a freezer bag, seal the bag and crush with a rolling pin. Make sure it is mostly crumbs but has a few chunks.
- Add the crushed mixture, the raisins and the remaining whole Maltesers in the bag to the melted chocolate. Stir until coated and place in to your baking tray.
- For the topping- melt the chocolate, butter and syrup and spread over the base.
- Cover the tin, refrigerate for 1-2 hours before cutting.
